Allow non-binary downloads (such as text/html)

Shawn 7 years ago updated 5 years ago 5

I find myself needing to download from several sites that return the downloaded content as text/* instead of binary. These are batch, php, perl and powershell scripts - so they *are* textual in nature. Unfortunately, I can't use Ketarin to download updates directly because it always returns the error:

The downloaded file is not a binary file type (text/html; charset=utf-8). Possibly there is an error page. Status code: 200 (OK)

It should be noted that so far "text/html" is the only content type that has been ignored.

There is an option available in Ketarin 1.8.10 beta 2 (general settings) to allow text/html downloads.

Hello,

it would be even beneficial for storing change logs grabbed from sites in text form alongside downloads.

Thank you in advance for considering this.

if it able to, i can use Ketarin to download comic as well, will be a nice feature
